DFDS runs two ferries on this route with daily departures in either direction. The ferry crossing takes 15 hours and is a night service leaving Ijmuiden at 18:00. The Port of Newcastle is situated 13 km / 8 miles outside of Newcastle City Centre. Facilities include covered walkways, check-in areas and automated baggage handling.
